Lions subdued by Loyalton
Matthew Reese's first double-double performance of the season was not enough to prevent a Providence Christian loss on Tuesday, as the Lions fell behind 21-3 after the first quarter and lost to Loyalton 57-34.
Reese put up 19 points that included a pair of 3-pointers, and hauled down 11 rebounds.
Missing Seth Danley due to injury, senior Tucker Hoffman took the court for the Lions for the first time since his sophomore year and scored four points and collected three rebounds.
Sophomore Barrett Lely finished second to Reese in scoring with five points, and sophomore Jeffery Grant pulled down five rebounds.
Providence (1-5) will keep the home fires burning this weekend, when they host the Providence Christmas Classic.
