Honkers make it even dozen
The Willows High School tennis team made it a dozen in a row on Tuesday with a 6-3 win over Mercy.
The Honkers won five of the six singles matches in collecting their 12th straight victory. The Honkers are also 7-0 in league play and will host the league tournament today starting at 9 a.m.
Yang Xiong had the top outing for the Honkers, winning 6-1, 6-0 over Kevin Thibert at the No. 1 seed. Brandon Boyd also picked up a win at No. 2, beating Michael Estrada, 6-2, 6-3.
