Police investigate cause of collision
Willows police are still investigating the cause of a traffic collision at Butte and Green streets on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident occurred at 4:43 p.m. and had at least one motorist complaining of pain to her chest and an injury to her forhead, police said.
Amelia Morency, 57, of Willows, was driving a 2006 Toyota southbound on Butte Street and was crossing the intersection at Green Street when her car was struck by a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Summer Shadley, 26, officers said.
Shadley's vehicle struck Morency's car on the left side and the Toyota then veered to the right and struck a PG&E power pole.
Officials said the intersection of Butte and Green streets is controlled by stop signs.
