Unity House ribbon cutting
Members of the Orland City Council and the Orland Chamber of Commerce joined the Unity in Recovery ribbon cutting on June 14, which opened the doors to Unity House at 611 Woodward Ave in Orland. Helping Glenn Myers and Sue Anderson cut the ceremonial ribbon were Orland City Councilman Mike Yalow, Vice-Mayor Bruce Roundy, and Orland Chamber members Dennis and Linda Hoffman.
Unity House is a project of Unity in Recovery, a local 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that supports efforts in Glenn County to provide resources for recovery, as well as substance abuse education.
Unity House is open for women who are working their way back to a clean and sober life. New or like new donations of household items such as dishes, pots, pans, dressers and lamps are needed to help furnish Unity House. For more information, call 865-4544 or 586-2072.
