Irrigation, nutrient workshop slated
Irrigation & Nutrient Management for Deciduous Orchard Crops is the subject of a workshop provided by the UC Cooperative Extension in Tehama County and the Shasta-Tehama Water Education Coalition on Dec. 5, at the Veterans Hall in Corning, 1620 Solano St.
An update will be provided on the Central Valley Long-term Irrigated Lands Regulatory program and how it may affect local nut and fruit crop industries.
The 8 a.m. — 1 p.m. workshop will also provide an opportunity to discuss effective irrigation and nutrient management strategies in orchard crops.
