Red Cross on standby to help with fires

Regarding the fires in Butte County, in the past week the Three Rivers Chapter of the American Red Cross has opened Evacuation Centers and Shelters in Orland, Oroville, Paradise and Chico.  Red Cross volunteers have been deployed from Yuba, Sutter, Colusa, Butte, Glenn and Nevada Counties.

As of Thursday morning this is the information regarding the shelters:

*Ophir Fire Shelter in Oroville located at the Church of the Nazarene was closed Wednesday night, but is open today.

*Humboldt Fire Shelter in Chico located at the Neighborhood Church was open Wednesday night and will be open today. 

*Humboldt Fire Shelter in Paradise located at the Seventh Day Adventist Church was open Wednesday night but closed this morning at the request of the Town of Paradise.

Red Cross Volunteers are on standby throughout the eight counties which they serve.
