    Glenn County Fair in full stride

    The Glenn County Fair continues with exciting exhibits, carnival rides and performances.

    Regular admission is $7 adults 13 and up; $3 for children age 6 through 12. All children age 5 and under and seniors age 70 or older are admitted free. The first 400 people through the gates will receive a ticket on a chance to win cash.

    Schedule of Events: Friday, May 16

    · Noon - Main gate opens for kid's day. All kids 12 and under get in free. Exhibit buildings open. Unlimited carnival rides $27 until midnight.

    · 3 p.m. - Swan Brothers Circus under the Big Top.

    · 3:30 p.m. - Regan the ventriloquist will appear on Center Stage

    · 4 p.m. - Pee Wee Showmanship at Vince Simmons Ring. Will Roya, magic, on Bandshell stage. Cook's Racing Pigs, Front Court,

    · 5 p.m. King Cotton Jazz Band at the Fountain. Swan Brothers Circus under the Big Top.

    · 5:30 - Susan Rose, hypnotist, Center Stage. Kids Big Wheel Races, roadway by office. Round Robin, Brawley Ring.

    · 6 p.m. - Black and White Dinner, livestock area.

    · 6:30 p.m. - Free Style Motocross, Grandstand. Treasure Hunt, Front Court.

    · 7 p.m. - Susan Rose, hypnotist, Center Stage. Will Roya, magic, Bandshell stage.

    · 7:30 p.m. - Dance with your Star, Dance Floor, Flaherty Hall.

    · 8 p.m. - King Cotton Jazz Band, Fountain. Cook's Racing Pigs, Front Court.

    · 8:30 p.m. - Karaoke, by Northern Lights, Bandshell stage. Swan Brothers Circus under the Big Top.

    · 9 p.m. - Inside Straight, Center Stage.

    · 10 p.m. - Inside Straight, Center Stage. Buildings close.

    · 10:30 p.m. - Gates close.

    · 12 midnight - Carnival closes.

    Other features to enjoy at the fair include Roundhouse Ronny the Clown, Hillbilly Puppet Truck, Kip Banks, balloon man, Dennis Forel, balloon sculptor, petting zoo, horse exhibits, antique tractors, West Valley Bow Hunters' archery demos, and Syar Industries antique stamp mill and engine.
