Toys needed for CHiPs for Kids
The California Highway Patrol, in cooperation with Willows Police Department is seeking gift donations for area children.
Please deliver new, unwrapped toy donations to the Willows CHP office through Dec. 21, 464 N. Humboldt Ave.
There is a particular need for gifts appropriate for teenagers.

Hoop Shoot is planned
Willows Elks Lodge and Knights of Columbus will hold its annual Willows Hoop Shoot at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Willows Intermediate School gym, 1145 W. Cedar St.
Warm-ups begin at 8:30 a.m.
All contestants must bring a birth certificate and have parental consent to compete.

Band concert on Saturday
The Willows High School Music Department will host its Alumni, Friends, and Family concert beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday at Willows Memorial Hall, 525 W. Sycamore St., Willows.
All musicians and singers are invited to perform with the band and choir for the performance of Christmas music and other favorites.
Rehearsal for the band is at 9 a.m. at Memorial Hall with choir rehearsal at 1.

Christmas performance set
Students of Willowdance will perform a Classic Christmas at 6 p.m. Dec. 15 at Willows Memorial Hall, 525 W. Sycamore St., Willows. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Set to the classic Christmas music of Burl Ives, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole and more, dancers will perform a variety of ballet, tap, jazz and ballroom dances.
Admission is $7 for adults; $5 for children 4-12; and free for children 3 and under.
Refreshments will be served following the performance.

Blood drive slated Dec. 27
A Willows community blood drive, in association with BloodSource, will be held from 2 p.m. -6 p.m. Dec. 27 at McGoldrick Hall at St. Monica's Catholic Church, 1129 W. Wood St., Willows.
All participants will receive a holiday t-shirt and BloodSource Rewards to redeem online.
Participants must bring their donor card or photo ID, be a minimum of 17 years-old or 16 with parental consent, be in generally good health and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds.
