Letter: Rec chief says thanks

The Willows Recreation Department's Fall Youth Soccer League recently completed its seventh successful season. There were 186 players ranging from 4 years through eighth-grade.

Our success is largely due to the volunteer coaches and high school students working together to provide a fun, learning experience for our players.

I would like to express my appreciation to the following coaches for their support of the youth in our program: Venus Brock, Raina Arnold, Shana Molnar, Rick Beatty, Brian Baker, Tara Bettencourt, Reanna Cooper, Jake Hutson, Steve Molnar, Roy Medina, Bill Spears, Julie Briggs, Ricardo Raygoza, Martin Castillo, Steven Nacis, Nick Ruiz, and Rodrigo Raygoza. For the people who helped the above coaches, thank you.

Thank you to the following officials who assisted with field prep and clean-up and officiate games: Sergio Ramirez, Jessica Hernandez, Francisco Zepeda, Raudel Ruiz, Nathan Bristley, Tou Xiong, Isidro Garcia, Omar Flores, and Victor Briones.

Thank you to the Willows Unified School district, Willows Intermediate School and their employees for the continued support of our Recreation Department's program.

The Willows Recreation Department's successful programs come from caring people who put the interest of their community ahead of their own. Please accept my gratitude for going above and beyond what is expected of you. You truly make a difference.
