Wrestlers to hold fundraiser

The Willows High School wrestling team will hold a drive-thru tri-tip dinner from 4-7 p.m. today at the Sani-Food Market parking lot. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased from any wrestler or from Gene or Cheryl Massa by calling 934-7690.

Learn life saving car control techniques

Thunderhill Raceway will hold their teen driving and car control clinic from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday at the racetrack. The cost is $99 and is for licensed drivers only. Contact Colleen for registration forms at 934-5588, ext. 100.

Learn about Alzheimer's

The Glenn Medical Center's Platinum Club will host its next meeting from 9:30-11 a.m. on Thursday. Becky Robinson from the Alzheimer's Association of Chico will be the guest speaker. A delicious and nutritious breakfast buffet will be served. Please RSVP to Deborah at 934-1881.

Support your local community

The Willows Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Willows Improvement League will have a kickoff meeting for the 3/50 Project at 7:30 a.m. at the Sugar Shop on Thursday. The 3/50 Project is to encourage people to shop local by spending their money in town and not traveling elsewhere. For more information, call the Chamber at 934-8150.

Reserve your homemade tamale pies

The Willows Monday Afternoon Club are holding their Tamale Pie Fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday. Meals are $8 and proceeds help support the community and clubhouse, by reservation only. To order your meals, call 934-9104 and leave your name, phone number and number of meals.

Stonyford community hosts blood drive

A BloodSource blood drive will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Tuesday at the Town Hall on First Street in Stonyford. For more information, call 1-866-822-5663.

Commodities distribution announced

Commodity distribution for Glenn County will be held on Jan. 21; Willows, 1-2 p.m. at Opengate Christian Fellowship, 950 Laurel St.; Elk Creek, 11 a.m. to noon at the Elk Creek Grange, 411 Church St.; Stonyford, 10:30 - 11 a.m. at the Grange on Market St.
