Wrestlers to hold fundraiser
The Willows High School wrestling team will hold a drive-thru tri-tip dinner from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday at the Sani-Food Market parking lot. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased from any wrestler or from Gene or Cheryl Massa by calling 934-7690.
Local Red Cross recruiting volunteers
The Glenn County branch of the American Red Cross, which is seeking more volunteers, will offer training to anyone who is interested in helping respond to local emergencies at its meeting on Thursday, 6:30-830 p.m., at the Willows Fire Department, 445 S. Butte St.

Learn about migrating waterfowl
The Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge will host a birding tour from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday. Seating is limited, so sign up early! There is no cost for workshops but a $3 vehicle pass to the refuge is required. For details call Lora Haller at 934-2801.
Learn life saving car control techniques
Thunderhill Raceway will hold their teen driving and car control clinic from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday at the racetrack. The cost is $99 and is for licensed drivers only. Contact Colleen for registration forms at 934-5588, ext. 100.
Support the students at WIS
The Eighth Grade students at Willows Intermediate School will host a Drive Thru Carnitas Dinner from 4:30-7 p.m. on Feb. 10 at St. Monica's Parish Hall in Willows. All proceeds benefit Eighth Grade graduation and activities. Tickets are $10 and are available from any Eighth Grade student. Commodity distribution for Glenn County will be held on Jan. 21; Willows, 1-2 p.m. at Opengate Christian Fellowship, 950 Laurel St.; Elk Creek, 11 a.m. to noon at the Elk Creek Grange, 411 Church St.; Stonyford, 10:30 - 11 a.m. at the Grange on Market St.
Celebrate the winter waterfowl migration
The 11th annual Snow Goose Festival will be held in Chico, Jan 28-31. Over 50 field trips and workshops ranging out to six counties will be available, celebrating the winter waterfowl migration in the North Sacramento Valley. Parents rally for Sober Grad Raffle
Parents from the Orland, Willows, and Hamilton high schools are working with the Corning High School Parents Club - Cards in Action - to sponsor a 2010 Sober Grad Raffle.
The raffle has drawings for trips to Hawaii, Las Vegas, Napa and San Francisco, and for cash prizes of $500, $350 and $200.
Tickets are $20 and the drawing will be held Feb. 6.
