Boy Scouts request your Christmas trees

Today is the last day Troop 57 will collect your Christmas Trees. There is no charge for the pick up but donations can be made to Willows Scout Troop 57. Call John Shively at 518-0342 for arrangements.

Learn about migrating waterfowl

The Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge will host a Wing Identification Workshop for youth/juniors from 11 a.m. to noon today. A Family Wetlands Walk is scheduled from 1-2 p.m. Sunday. There is no cost for workshop, but a $3 vehicle pass to the refuge is required. For details call Lora Haller at 934-2801.

Support your high school seniors

The Willows Elk's Lodge will hold its annual Crab Feed, raffle and auction from noon to 6 p.m. tomorrow at the Elk's Lodge, 150 S. Shasta St., Willows. Tickets are available from lodge members or at the Elk's Lodge. Proceeds benefit the Elks Scholarship fund for seniors in Glenn and Colusa counties. For more information, call 934-4321.

Wrestlers to hold dinner fundraiser

The Willows High School wrestling team will hold a drive-thru tri-tip dinner from 4-7 p.m. on Jan. 16 at the Sani-Food Market parking lot. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased from any wrestler or from Gene or Cheryl Massa by calling 934-7690.

Stonyford community hosts blood drive

A BloodSource blood drive will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Jan. 19 at the Town Hall on First Street in Stonyford. For more information, call 1-866-822-5663.

Commodities distribution announced

Commodity distribution for Glenn County will be held on Jan. 21; Willows, 1-2 p.m. at Opengate Christian Fellowship, 950 Laurel St.; Elk Creek, 11 a.m. to noon at the Elk Creek Grange, 411 Church St.; Stonyford, 10:30 - 11 a.m. at the Grange on Market St.

Support the students at WIS

The eighth-grade students at Willows Intermediate School will host a Drive-thru Carnitas Dinner from 4:30-7 p.m. on Feb. 10 at St. Monica's Parish Hall in Willows. All proceeds benefit graduation and class activities. Tickets are $10 and are available from any eighth-grade student. For information, call Cynthia, 330-9002, Lupe, 354-4832 or Sandra, 844-2259.
