Letter: Newspaper ‘way left' on same-sex marriage

I am writing about the front-page story in the Willows Journal (“Mixed views on same-sex marriage ruling,” May 30).

Apparently the author did not look at the election results of November for Glenn County. A full 76 percent of the voters wanted marriage to be between a man and a woman. I know the state was close, but the county was not. Your editorial in the issue previous to the election urged voters to vote no on Prop 8.

How come the editor and reporters are so out of touch with the pulse of the readers? Is it that you all live out of the county? Or is it the policy of the Appeal-Democrat to go way left with everything? Just a thought.
