Occupation: Retired from the USDA Forest Service Civil. Was an engineering technician of 34 years.

Hobbies and interests: Wood working, home construction and repair, computer graphics and cooking. I'm a member of the Willows Elks Lodge and Knights of Columbus. I'm also the chairman of youth activities such as scouting, the Hoop Shoot and others. I'm working with my nephew, Thomas, on his Eagle Scout project.

What are your favorite things about autumn? The change of seasons, cooler weather and professional football.

What are some of your fondest memories? Learning to work on projects during my childhood with my father when he was on leave from the Merchant Marines. I developed my work ethics and attitude while working with my father.

Whom do you most admire and why? My wife, Cherylle, and her courage and attitude during her battle with breast cancer.

What is your dream job? Being retired and building a new kitchen for my wife.

What qualities in people do you most admire? Personality, hard work and dependability

What was the last thing that made you laugh? The antics of our 16-year-old cat, Liverust.

What are you thankful for? My good wife, my health, living in freedom in the United States of America and in Willows.

What is your greatest accomplishment? Becoming the district deputy Grand Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge.
