Letter: Willows stepped up for fire evacuees

We would like to thank all the people and businesses that assisted our staff during the evacuation of Camp Lassen in Butte Meadows.

As you know, 14 of the staff were displaced and invited to share the home of Cullen and Neoma Stowe.

Clinton and Juananas Odell supplied us with loads of fresh fruits and vegetables from their produce farm. Wal-Mart gave us a $50 gift card. The Willows Seventh-day Adventist Church supplied the group with clothing, a gift of $50 and a luncheon.

Jack Kennedy and the Glenn County Food Bank generously supplied food staples for the group. Robert and Virginia Coombs let us play in their pool. Thanks go also to Randy and Renee Garner who gave us lamb steaks, fruit juice and other foods.

The generosity of these fine folks will long be remembered by our staff. We thank you all.

Cullen and Neoma Stowe, Ashlee Brown, Sharyan Duncan, Tracy Neiswender, Sean Farnworth, Spruce Patalon, Jeff Block, Joaquin Mancebo, Justin Ferrin, Devin Shiflet,
