Listen to the Alumni play

The Willows High School Band and Choir will present its annual Alumni, Family and Friends Concert at 7 p.m. on Jan. 30 at the Willows Veterans Memorial Hall, 525 W. Sycamore St., Willows. Tickets will be sold for $5 and are available from band and choir members or at the door. Children under 10 are free. "Happy Hour" will precede the concert with band members serving non-alcoholic beverages and a variety of appetizers. Separate tickets for Happy Hour will be sold at the door. If you would like to participate in the concert, contact Ellen Pastorino at 934-3577 or the music office at 934-1032.

Sing with the Glenn Chorale

The Glenn Chorale will begin rehearsals for their spring season on Mon. at 7 p.m. at the Orland High School Band Room. For more information, call Claire Arano at 519-7421 or Tracy Quarne at 865-3697.

Celebrate the winter waterfowl migration

The 11th annual Snow Goose Festival will be held in Chico, Thursday through Sunday. Over 50 field trips and workshops ranging out to six counties will be available, celebrating the winter waterfowl migration in the North Sacramento Valley. Make history with largest Bunco bash in county

The Ark Christian Center is sponsoring a Bunco Bash beginning at 6 p.m. on Feb. 6 at 222 N. Butte St. in Willows. All proceeds will support North Valley Christian Schools' Help-a-Student program which helps enable qualifying families to attend Oak Tree Christian School or Providence Christian High School. Parents rally for Sober Grad Raffle

Parents from the Orland, Willows, and Hamilton high schools are working with the Corning High School Parents Club - Cards in Action - to sponsor a 2010 Sober Grad Raffle.

The raffle has drawings for trips to Hawaii, Las Vegas, Napa and San Francisco, and for cash prizes of $500, $350 and $200.

Tickets are $20 and the drawing will be held Feb. 6.

Support the students at WIS

The eighth-grade students at Willows Intermediate School will host a Drive-Thru Carnitas Dinner from 4:30-7 p.m. on Feb. 10 at St. Monica's Parish Hall in Willows. All proceeds benefit Eighth Grade graduation and activities. Tickets are $10 and are available from any Eighth Grade student.
