Orland Police Report: Aug. 4

8:07 Dispatch received an incomplete 911 call from the 100 block of East Mill Street. Maria Rubio, 45, of Orland reported her 21/2-year-old son had been playing with the phone.

1:15 p.m. An officer responded to the Sav Mor Market for reported shoplifting. Israel Ibarra, 23, of Orland was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

10:08 p.m. An officer was dispatched to Newville Road after Karl Lewis, 50, of Willows reported finding a young boy near Road HH. The boy’s mother, 23-year-old Esmeralda Rodriguez of Orland, arrived on scene with the babysitter, who said the boy left the house while she was doing laundry. The boy was returned to his mother.
