Letter: Hamilton schools better off apart

I would like to comment on the proposal of the unification of the Hamilton Union elementary and high school districts. I noticed in the voter information pamphlet that there is no argument either for or against the proposal.

I know there were meetings on the proposal, however usually there are only a handfull or two who go to the meetings. What I feel should have been done is to better inform the people of Hamilton City. Most people do care what happens in their community, but they choose not to get involved. They have the right to know if this proposal is right for their children or not! Information could have been mailed out!

I do have great respect on what the high school has accomplished and it is a great school. However, we need to think of who and where they were prepared for their journey to high school: It’s Hamilton Elementary.

Hamilton Elementary has always been a premier school. Let it continue to be.

No on Measure M.
