Police log listings are compiled from reports filed with area law enforcement and public safety agencies...

0810 hrs Officer Landis was dispatched to 11 Yolo Street on the report of a person banging on the residence door. Officers arrived on scene and contacted 65 y/o Beverly Strovers of Orland, but were unable to locate the suspect. Sixty one y/o Gerald Logan of Orland, later came into OPD and scheduled a civil standby so he could retrieve his property from the residence.

1320 hrs Officer Landis was dispatched to Co Rd 200 for a reported suspicious person attempting to sell fire wood door to door. Officer Landis arrived on scene and contacted 79 y/o Daryl Lee Crook of Orland. Crook advised he was out for his daily bicycle ride, and was not selling fire wood.

1520 hrs Officer Landis saw a vehicle southbound on 6Th Street with a defective brake light. Officer Landis made a traffic stop and contacted the driver, 25 y/o Victoria Medina of Orland. Medina was cited for the equipment violation, and for not having proof of insurance.

1450 Sgt. Tolle was dispatched to a property damage accident at 1225 East St. Forty seven y/o Robin Schatz of Orland reported that he was S/B East St towing a trailer. The trailer came loose from the pickup and started to fishtail. The trailer safety chain broke causing the trailer to travel across the street and hit a mail box and garbage can in front of 1219 East St. The trailer traveled across the grass and collided with the front of the residence at 1225 East St. causing minor damage.

1600 hrs Sgt Tolle was dispatched to a possible DUI driver in a red pickup W/B on Highway 32 coming into town. The pickup was reported to have passed without enough clearance and was weaving. Sgt Tolle stopped a red GMC PU on Woodward at Shasta St. The driver 84-y/o Orland resident Mary Vice admitted to passing other vehicle on Highway 32 but claim she had enough distance. Vice admitted being in a hurry but had not been drinking. Vice was counseled about her driving.

1710 hrs Sgts Baker and Sgt Tolle were sent to a barn behind 848 Walker Street regarding trespassers. Officers arrived on scene and contacted 51 y/o transient Jaime Solis Beliz and 29 y/o transient Daniel Pacheco. Both agreed to leave the premises.

1831 hrs Sgt. Baker stopped a maroon colored Ford Taurus on South and East Streets for unsafe speed and failure to stop behind the stop sign limit line. The driver, Gloria Mora of Orland was arrested for DUI and transported to the county jail. Mora's vehicle was released to a friend.

2356 hrs Officer Stover and Sgt. Baker responded the Orland Food and Gas Station regarding a suicidal subject.  Officer Stover detained Angel Cruz-Villalobos 21 of Fort Worth Texas for a 72 Mental Health Observation.  Cruz-Villalobos was transported to Glenn Medical Center in Willows and released to a Mental Health Worker.
