4-H bowl-a-thon today
Two sessions of the Glenn County 4-H Bowl-a-thon will be held today at Orland Bowl, 507 Monterey St., Orland. The first session will begin at 10 a.m. and the second at 12:30 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to participate.
Door prizes will be given out throughout the day, as well as prizes for the team with the best name and the team with the best costumes during each session.

Turkey shoot slated for Nov. 3
Win turkeys and hams at the annual Bear Valley and Indian Valley Fire Department's Turkey Shoot, beginning with a trap shoot at 9 a.m. Nov. 3, followed by a rifle and pistol shoot at 11.
Bring your own ammunition. No peep sights or scopes.
The event will take place at the Stonyford Rodeo grounds.
Lunch and a raffle will also be available.

Fallen Rider poker run set
A fundraising motorcycle poker run will be begin at 10 a.m. Nov. 3 at Victory in Christ Community Church, 210 E. Walker St., Orland. Entry fee is $10.
Following the ride, participants will meet at Orland Bowl for an afternoon of bowling, $10.
Proceeds benefit Brian and Janell Wammack of Orland who were seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Oct. 14.

Nominations watershed group
The Colusa Glenn Subwatershed Program board of directors seeks nominees to represent growers in Colusa and Glenn counties.
The current grower representative is John Garner, a Colusa County farmer.
The program assists its members to meet requirements of the mandated Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program through the California Regional Water Quality Control Board.
The at-large election will be a by-mail vote. Election and voting rights are open to the active members as of Oct. 1. Ballots are due by Dec. 31.
The election date is Jan. 1, for a three-year term.

Harvest Bazaar Nov. 3
The annual Harvest Bazaar will be held from 10 a.m. — 4 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Elk Creek Grange Hall, 411 Church St., Elk Creek.
Arts, crafts, quilts, crocheted items, books, baked goods and more will be available.
Lunch will be available to purchase from the Grange.
