1201 W WOOD ST
Sergeant Dahl along with Officers Brown and Vessels responded to 1201 W Wood St #7 regarding a civil matter. Upon arrival officers contacted Lisa Borne, 20, who advised Candy Wells (age unknown) attempted to get three firearms from her mother’s residence that did not belong to her. Officers were unable to locate Wells and Borne was advised to call back if there were anymore problems.
1235 JOY WAY
Officers responded to 1235 Joy Way regarding a report from Glenn Medical Center of a possible suicidal subject. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female who voluntarily wished to speak with a mental health counselor. She was transported by ambulance to Glenn Medical Center.
114 N ALPINE ST
James O’Dell reported unwanted subjects were pounding on his door at 114 N. Alpine. Officer Vessels and Sgt. Dahl responded. Upon arrival, the subjects had already left the area and were not located. O’Dell identified the subjects as Ricky Burrows and Carl Burrows. O’Dell advised the subjects were yelling and cursing at him from outside. He did not know what they wanted.
1230 BRENNAN PL
Officer Vessels responded to 1235 Brennan regarding a report of an elderly female who was in an out of consciousness. Upon arrival, the (73) year old female was found conscious and talking. She was tended to by Enloe medics and Willows Fire. Officer Vessels cleared.
800 W WOOD ST
Off Duty GCSO Sgt. Bouldin reported he was w/b on 162, east of Willows, following behind a white Jeep. He reported the vehicle was travelling at approximately 40 mph, and had crossed over the white line several times. Officer Vessels made an investigative stop on the vehicle and contacted the driver, Judy Buralli (63) of Chico. Upon further investigation, she was found not to be DUI. She was advised of the reason for the stop.
530 N CULVER AVE
Officer Alves and Officer Meek responded to 530 S. Culver Ave. to the report of an alarm sounding. The residence was checked and found to be alright.
210 W LAUREL ST
Officer Alves responded to 210 W. Laurel Ave. at the request of UC Davis to check the welfare of a child at that address. Upon arrival, the child was found to be alright and a message was given to the parent to contact UC Davis.
600 N HUMBOLDT AVE
Officer Alves and Sgt. Walter responded to 600 N. Humboldt Ave. regarding an unknown disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with Kevin Howard who denied there being any problems at the apartment. The other involved party had left prior to the officers arrival. Documentation of the incident was made.
470 N AIRPORT RD
Dispatch advised of a 911 hang up from a payphone at Wal-Mart. Dispatch advised a child’s voice was heard saying, “Hello.” Officer Vessels responded. Prior to arrival, Dispatch advised of a second 911 hang up. Upon arrival, there was no one near the pay phone, and there was no sign of a disturbance.
470 N AIRPORT RD
Assistant Manager, Bryan Booth, reported a female had shoplifted DVDs and a Spider Man toy from Wal Mart. Dispatch gave the description given by Booth. Sgt. Walter and Officer Vessels responded. The female was located walking with another female and male on Wood at Humboldt. The female was identified as Romelia Valdovinos (22). She admitted stealing the items, which were located in a duffle bag. She was also found in possession of children’s clothing, which she admitted taking from Wal-Mart. Valdovinos was identified by Wal-Mart employees. She was cited for petty theft/shoplifting and released. The stolen items were returned to Wal-Mart.
1255 JOY WAY
Officer Vessels responded to 1245 Joy Way regarding a complaint of dogs barking at 1255 Joy Way. Upon arrival, he contacted the complainant, Jim Dimaggio (28), who reported the dog had been barking for hours, and it has been an ongoing problem. Officer Vessels contacted Rosario Juarez (29) and his father, Jose Juarez, and advised them of the complaint. They agreed to bring the dogs inside for the night. Information was forwarded to Animal Control regarding the ongoing problem.
1399 W WOOD ST
Officer DeVoss responded to Buds AM/PM regarding a report of found drug contraband. Upon arrival the officer was shown a hypodermic needle which was lying on the ground near the southeast corner of the building. The officer secured the syringe for disposal.
