0200 hrs Officer Lopeteguy located
graffiti vanalism at the Orland Bowling alley. "Just Key" in black spray paint
was located on the west side of the building in the alley.
0200 hrs Officer Lopeteguy located spray paint graffiti, "Key" was spray painted on the south wall of the Orland Moose Lodge.
0200 hrs Officer Lopeteguy located spray painted graffiti at the Kountry Kitchen on the room and front of the building. "Just Key" was painted on the building.
0226 hrs Priscilla Pasero, 50 of Orland reported hearing 3 to 4 gunshots in what sounded like the 800 block of Date St. Sgt Vlach and Officer Lopeteguy searched the area.
0252 hrs Officer Lopeteguy and Sgt. Vlach were dispatched to 110 Central Street for a report of a subject standing next to the Reporting parties window begging to come in. Upon arrival Officers met with the victim, Elise Louise Smith 41 of Orland. Smith requested extra patrol because of a jealous ex-boyfriend stalking her. Officers checked the area on foot however the suspect was not located.
0340 hrs Officer Lopeteguy and Sgt. Vlach were dispatched to a report of Juveniles running in the area of Newport and 8th Streets Upon arrival in the area Sgt. Vlach located the juveniles and detained them until Officer Lopeteguy arrived on scene. The Juveniles age 14 and 16 were arrested for curfew violations. One Juvenile was arrested for a violation of Glenn County Probation. Both juveniles had been drinking alcohol. Both Juveniles were transported to the Glenn County Juvenile Hall for booking.
0657 hrs Officer JOHNSON was dispatched to an alarm at Orland High School. The officer contacted 47 y/o Chico resident, Timothy PASSAUANT who had set the alarm off in error.
1229 hrs Officer JOHNSON was dispatched to 910 Newport Ave for a report of a neighborhood dispute. The officer contacted 43 y/o resident, Beth WHISMAN, who reported that her neighbor had ridden by on a bicycle and yelled at her. WHISMAN did not know the name of her neighbor and he was gone prior to officer arrival. WHISMAN requested the incident documented.
1246 hrs Officer JOHNSON received a report of a possible internet scam. The officer contacted 47 y/o Orland resident Rogelio GARCIA of 917 Harryman St, by telephone who reported that he had been the victim of an internet scam over the sale of a vehicle. A report was taken.
1411 hrs Officer JOHNSON made a traffic stop on a red Chevrolet on 8th at Colusa. After an on scene investigation, the driver, 22 y/o Orland resident, Graham FERNS, was arrested for driving on a suspended license, expired registration, and no proof of insurance. FERNS was released on a citation. The vehicle was stored with Zips Towing.
1611 hrs Janet Limon, 60 of Orland reported her 17 y/o foster daughter Sierra Cannon had run away from the 910 Cortina home. Sgt Vlach took a runaway juvenile, missing person report and entered Cannon into NCIC/MUPS. The area was checked, Cannon was not located.
1823 hrs Sgt. Vlach was dispatched to an anonymous report of shots fired near the 700 block of Mill St. Sgt Vlach, Det Blair and Deputy Smith contacted Alonso Carillo, 19, who admitted to lighting off firecrackers. The officer had to leave for a priority call and warned Carillo about the illegal fireworks.
1825 hrs Sgt Vlach was dispatched to 57 E Swift St for a report from neighbor John Rongley, 56, of a man down. Sgt Vlach and Deputy Burns responded and found the 79 y/o male resident deceased in the home. Their were no signs of foul play. Deputy Burns is conducting the coroner's investigation, the decedant's name is witheld pending next of kin notification.
1920 hrs GCSO Dispatch advised Sgt Vlach that a female reported as missing by Orland PD in 2004 had been arrested in Kern County. The officer confirmed that Kern County entered the locate on Aracelli Arrellano, 38 and removed her from NCIC/MUPS.
2044 hrs Lorita Pirul, 43 reported harassing phone calls at her 307 Colusa St #A residence. Sgt Vlach contacted Pirul and documented the incident.
2345 hrs Sgt Vlach and Officer Lopeteguy responded to the area of Harryman St and Rennat Way for an anonymously reported disturbance, unknown if loud music or verbal argument. The officers checked the neighborhood and found everything quiet.
