0100 hrs Sgt Baker stopped a grey
Chevrolet at 1003 Newport for failing to dim high beams. The driver, 19 y/o
Victor Manuel Rodriguez-Garcia was cited for the above offense and being an
unlicensed driver. The vehicle was left parked at scene.
0145 hrs Officer Stover made contact with
Maclovio Rodriguez 23 of Orland in the Alleyway behind Farwood Bar and Gill.
After an on scene investigation Rodriguez was arrested for providing false
information to a Peace Officer, violation of probation and an outstanding Butte
County Warrant. Rodriguez was arrested and booked into the Glenn County Jail.
1046 hrs 44 y/o Dera Miller of OHS called
to report a student who was refusing to leave campus. Officer Landis counseled
the juvenile who agreed to leave.
1358 hrs Officer Lands made a vehicle
enforcement stop for a defective windshield. Officer Landis contacted the
driver, 31 y/o Karen Kemp of Red Bluff. Kemp was cited and released for expired
registration.
1643 hrs Officer Landis was dispatched to
a silent alarm at the post office. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the
manager, 47 y/o Deidre Pendergraft of Orland. Officers found the post office
secure.
1600 hrs Officer Landis made a traffic
stop on Sixth Street for a lighting violation. The driver, 22 y/o Ivan Perez of
Orland was subsequently arrested for being an unlicensed driver. He was
released on a citation.
1634 hrs Officer Landis was contacted by
telephone by fifty five y/o William Hudson of Orland who reported that his
vehicle had been vandalized sometime between the hours of 2100 and 0530 on
6/17/08. Officer Landis documented the incident.
1705 hrs Officer Lopeteguy was dispatched
to a report of a theft with juveniles detained at 301 East Street. On arrival
Officer Lopeteguy met with the reporting party, Wesley Spencer, 37 of Orland.
Spencer advised that he detained two juveniles who tried to steal his son's
skate board. Officer Lopeteguy spoke with the juvenile suspects a 15 and an 8
year old. Both were detained for the theft and they were transported to the
Orland Police Department where they were admonished and released to their
parents.
