0006 hrs Officer Stover was dispatched to an anonymous report of juveniles running in the 600 Block of Second Street. Officer Stover checked the area. Officer Stover was unable to locate the juveniles.
0104 hrs Officer Stover responded to 4194 County Road KK regarding a suicidal subject. Officer Stover assisted the Glenn County Sheriffs Department until no longer needed.
0840 hrs Officer Landis was dispatched to Fairview School for a reported vandalism. Several sprinklers had been damaged. Officer Landis arrived on scene and contacted the reporting party. Fifty y/o Bruce Crook of Orland said that 9 to 10 sprinklers had been broken on the Fairview School lawn by South Street. The total cost of repair was $440 in parts and labor. Officer Landis documented the incident.
1006 hrs Officer Landis was dispatched to 1117 8Th Street for a reported infant locked in a vehicle. Nineteen y/o Tiffany Lavette had accidentally locked her 11 month old son Christian Jauregui in the car. Officer Landis checked on the infant's status, and called a tow service who opened the vehicle.
1033 hrs Officer Landis was dispatched to Miller Glass at 116 Walker St. for a reported vandalism. Manager Brian Stanley 46 reported the incident. Officer Landis took photographs and documented the incident.
1045 hrs 39y/o Cathy Cote contacted the Orland Police Department regarding her missing 6 y/o son. Officer Cessna, Sgt Tolle and Officer Landis responded and initiated an area search. The juvenile was located and returned home.
1500 hrs the owner of Amber Light Inn Motel notified Orland PD regarding a suspicious package. Officers arrived on scene and contacted 40y/o Nolan Ednaco of Orland. Ednaco advised officers of a small blue package marked "T.N.T." After further investigation the package was found to be a newspaper wrapped in a blue cover.
1400 hrs Chief Pasero located a vehicle and driver matching the description of a vehicle being sought in connection with an earlier reported crime. Officer Landis and Chief Pasero made an investigative contact with the driver, 26 y/o Nicolas Barajas of Orland at 1003 Newport Ave. After an on scene investigation Barajas was arrested for driving while unlicensed. Barajas was released on a citation.
1330 hrs 72 y/o Orland resident Carole Lauderdale came to the Orland Police Dept. to report that Marsha Tanner had some of her belongings. Lauderdale left the property to be stored at Tanner's residence at 804 Almond Way. Lauderdale believed that Tanner may have kept or sold the property. The incident was documented.
1631 hrs Officer Landis was dispatched to the Lutheran Church on Colusa St and A St for a reported suspicious person. Officer Landis and Sgt. Tolle arrived on scene and contacted 56 y/o Richard Judkins of Orland who said Gerald Logan was on the property of the church with no business being there. Officer Landis later contacted 60 y/o Gerald Logan and advised him to stay away from the church.
1852 hrs Sgt Vlach and Officer Cessna were dispatched to 402 5th St. for a man reporting his wife is refusing to let him leave. Officers contacted Corry Chamberlin, 26, and Christina Chamberlin, 29, and determined there was a brief argument regarding the children and Corry wished to leave, which he did.
2115 hrs Officer Stover responded to 345 Bell Way for a civil stand by. Ralph Torres 25 of Chico attempted to serve civil court papers, however the party to be served was not home.
