Orland Police Report: July 12

0028 hrs 56 y/o Pedro Rosales of Orland reported chasing a male from his backyard. Sgt Vlach contacted Rosales while Officer Cessna checked the area. The male was not located, it was later determined he was invited to the property by the RP’s juvenile daughter and no crime had been committed.

0313 hrs Sgt Vlach was sent to a burglar alarm at John’s Tire, 512 South St. The business was checked and found secure.

0151 hrs Officer Cessna and Sgt. Vlach were sent to the area of Trinity St west of Eighth St. for an anonymous report of loud juveniles in front of a residence. Officers contacted 19 y/o Tyler Swope and a 17 y/o female juvenile both of Orland. The juvenile was issued a citation for curfew and released to her parents.

2250 hrs Officer Cessna was sent to 812 W. Walker St. for a report of a suspicious person who may have tried to enter a residence. Officer 19 y/o Suzanna Dobbs of Orland who stated that almost every night around 2300 hrs an unknown subject makes noises around the residence. The officer was unable to locate the subject. Dobbs requested extra patrol.

1150 hrs Officer Lopeteguy was sent to 1226 East Street #7 to take a vehicle theft report. Officer met with 32 y/o Joshua Thompson and 27 y/o Jacque Phillips both of Magalia. A vehicle theft report was taken.

1100 hrs Officer Lopeteguy was sent to 1222 Walters Ave for a report of dogs barking and disturbing the peace. Officer spoke with the reporting party, 24 y/o Erick Bunch of Orland. Bunch advised that his neighbor’s dogs had been barking continuously for approximately one hour. Officer attempted to contact the owner but was unsuccessful.

1135 hrs Officer Lopeteguy was sent to Second Street in front of Mill Street School for a report of a turtle in the roadway. Officer located the turtle and turned it over to animal control.

1924 hrs 20 y/o Michelle Goodwin of Orland reported a violation of a temporary civil harassment order that occurred earlier in the 200 block of E Tehama St. Sgt Vlach took the report.

 2309 hrs Sgt Vlach was sent to an anonymous report of loud music near 1st St at Tehama St. The neighborhood was quiet on arrival.

 2248 hrs Officer Cessna and Sgt. Vlach were sent to 221 E Yolo St. at the Glenn County Fairgrounds for a reported physical altercation. Officers were contacted by Blue Angel Security Officers and were asked to check the area for any further disturbances. Officers checked the area and found no problems.

2307 hrs Officer Cessna was sent to 1316 Brookside Dr. for a reported overdue juvenile. Officer contacted a 16 y/o female juvenile of Orland who later returned home from Chico.
