May 17-Playgroups make learning fun

First 5 Glenn County is pleased to announce its Little Learners Playgroup is now offering Saturday sessions on May 17 and May 31. Now that it is springtime, parents, caregivers and children at Little Learners Playgroups will participate in outdoor activities using water, paint and other materials. “Dinosaurs” is the theme for May. Activities will include roller painting, fossil making, bean bag tosses, coloring and sorting games, in addition to reading great books such as “How Does a Dinosaur Eat His Food?”

The Little Learners Playgroup is part of First 5 Glenn County’s goal to have all children prenatal to age 5 enter school ready to learn. Parents and caregivers are invited to attend the free Little Learners Playgroup to engage one-on-one with their children with the guidance of early childhood educators.
