Boosters sell Christmas trees
The Willows High School Boosters will sell Christmas trees from Friday through Dec. 9 at the high school football field.
Trees, wreaths and fresh garland will be available for purchase.

Hoop Shoot is set
Willows Elks Lodge and Knights of Columbus will hold their annual Willows Hoop Shoot at 9 a.m. on Dec. 8 at the Willows Intermediate School gym, 1145 W. Cedar St.
Warm-ups begin at 8:30 a.m.
All contestants must bring a birth certificate and have parental consent to compete.

December is amnesty month
Library patrons with overdue fines can participate in "Food for Fines."
Patrons with outstanding fines for overdue materials may have their fines erased by donating canned and non-perishable food items. For each item or can of food, the library will deduct $1.
All donations received will be given to local food banks for clients in Orland, Willows, and Hamilton City areas.
Bills for lost or damaged library items are not eligible for the "Food for Fines" program.
The library cannot accept home-canned items; items that are past their expiration date; dented, damaged or cans with bar codes that have lined through.

Library appreciation night
The Willows Public Library will hold a Community Appreciation Night from 5 p.m. -7 p.m. on Dec. 4 at 201 N. Lassen St.
A raffle will be held for a goodie basket, and refreshments will be served.
