Deputy Brazzi contacted Fidel Rodriguez as he was staggering down 1st Street in Hamilton City. Rodriguez had a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person. Rodriguez had red watery eyes, slurred speech, and was unsteady on his feet. Rodriguez blew a.184 percent blood alcohol content. Deputy Brazzi booked Rodriguez into the Glenn County jail for public intoxication. he will be released per 849b pc when sober.
Deputy McDonald conducted a vehicle enforcement stop pursuant to 24601 cvc, inoperative license plate lamp. The driver of the vehicle, Gerald Mapes, 43, was found to be on parole for numerous DUI`s. Mapes had an open container of beer in the vehicle and admitted to drinking while driving. Deputy McDonald turned the scene over to CHP officer M. Thompson who subsequently arrested Mapes for felony DUI.
