Cross Walk Will be on Good Friday

The annual Cross Walk organized by the Willows Ministerial Association will be on Good Friday, March 21. Everyone in the community is invited to participate. It will begin at noon at the First Southern Baptist Church, 112 North Yolo St., and last about an hour.

Those silently walking the route will take turns carrying the wooden cross as Jesus did on his way to Calvary and his crucifixion.

Stops will be made at Butte and Sycamore, Post Office, courthouse, Memorial Hall and the Library/City Hall to share the last seven words of Jesus and sing hymns of the cross. The walk will end at First Baptist Church at 154 North Lassen St.

Participants are encouraged to wear a hat and bring. The walk will be less then a mile and those who cannot walk it are invited to drive to the various stops.
