Adopt-A-Family
Families, service clubs, nonprofit groups and local businesses are needed as sponsors for the 18th annual Adopt-A-Family program. The program assists needy Glenn County children and seniors during the holiday season. The Adopt-A-Family event is set for Dec. 12. Sponsored by the Glenn County Human Resource Agency. Alliance dinner
Family Water Alliance holds its 13th annual fundraiser dinner Nov. 22 at the Maxwell Veterans Hall, 250 Oak St., Maxwell. No host cocktails at 5:30 p.m.; dinner served at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person, and attendees will be eligible for door prizes including a 42-inch fl at-screen TV. A pizza/bake sale fundraiser is from 5 to 9 p.m. Nov. 19 at Round Table Pizza, 1237 W. Wood St., Willows. 20 percent of food orders go toward Willows High School’s Sober Grad 2009.
Craft fair
The 33rd annual Orland Craft Fair is Nov. 29-30 at the Glenn County Fairgrounds, Orland. Hundreds of sellers in three buildings offering handcrafted gift and specialty food items. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 29; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 30. Free admission.Sponsored by the Orland Historical and Cultural Society. For more information, call 893-9218.
Christmas fair

Orland Pantry
The Orland Pantry is seeking non-perishable food donations for its Christmas basket program and has placed collection barrels in Orland at Bank of America, Umpqua Bank and Tri-Counties Bank. Orland Pantry serves residents of Orland, Capay and Hamilton City.
