Sams Chapter holds campout in Oroville

The Tri-County Sams Chapter of the Good Sam Club held its November Campout at Feather Falls Casino KOA in Oroville, with eight member rigs and one guest rig in attendance.

Guests of Bob and Pearl Divine were Ed and Joyce Barnes of Red Bluff.

Friday night, most of the group went to the casino buffet to celebrate Ed Pereira and Bob Divine's birthdays. On Saturday morning we held our regular "meet and greet" with lots of good food and conversation. Later in the day, several members went to the casino to do a little gambling and shopping at the KOA store.

At our meeting Saturday night, we held elections for new officers for 2013, with Richard Sol re-elected as president; Ed Pereira re-elected as vice president; Darlene Dickison re-elected treasurer; Lisa Sol re-elected wagon master and Bob Devine elected as our new secretary.

Wayne Barry is trail boss and he decorated the tables using the fall colors of orange table cothes, napkins, brown table runners, pumpkins, autumn leaves, gourds, pumpkin people and orange cups full of candy.

Our December meeting and dinner will be held at the home of Richard and Lisa Sol in El Camino for a Christmas celebration. Nine member rigs were represented and one guest rig, along with Jo Day, aunt of Lisa Sol, as a guest. Each place setting had a gift bag of candy.

After dinner, we held our meeting with incoming secretary Bob Divine taking the minutes. Wayne Barry, the past president, installed the 2013 officers. Ed and Joyce Barnes were voted in as new members.

On Jan.12, the chapter will meet for Brunch at 10 a.m. at the Rolling Hills Casino and then hold its meeting.
