Edwin Hegwer

Services for Edwin “Ed” Hegwer are set for 10 a.m. Monday at F.D. Sweet and Son Funeral Chapel in Willows. Burial will be at Willows Cemetery.

Hegwer died Dec. 3, 2008, at Glenn Medical Center in Willows, He was 88.

A Pearl Harbor survivor during World War II, Hegwer served in the U.S. Navy. He moved to Willows with his family in 1946 and worked for Foremost Dairies for 30 years. He was married to his late wife, Mary, for almost 60 years.

Survivors include two sons, Bruce and Dean Hegwer and a daughter, Vincie Abbott.

Arrangements are under the direction of F.D. Sweet and Son of Willows.
