Deputy Perry knew of an outstanding felony warrant for Felicia Skeslien. Deputy Perry made contact with Skeslien at her residence. Glenn county communications confirmed the Glenn county superior court warrant, bail amount $100,000. Skeslien was taken into custody and transported to the Glenn County Jail.
Tina Retzloff requests a deputy bring a “dope dog” to her residence and check it out. Sgt. Miranda contacted Retzloff. Her neighbor told her about a suspicious vehicle and 2 people that were trying to unlock her gate. She is afraid there might be drugs hidden in the residence and she does not want to be falsely accused. Sgt. Miranda advised her that the department would attempt to fulfill her request later in the day.
CPS cross report of a suspected child abuse. CPS investigated the allegation and determined the matter to be inconclusive. This is due in part of the age of the victim. No physical evidence of assault was present. CPS advised that the mother is also not very cooperative regarding the contact. Closed pending new information.
Deputy Smith had prior knowledge that Ty Conner Gentry had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest from Glenn County. Deputy Smith contacted Gentry at his residence in Hamilton City and dispatch confirmed the warrant. Gentry was placed under arrest and was transported to the Glenn County Jail where he was booked for the warrant. Bail for warrant is $4000.
Charles Eshenbrenner called the Sheriffs Office and requested a deputy regarding Tina Retzloff trespassing on his property. Deputy Smith responded. Deputy contacted Retzloff and gave a trespassing admonishment. Retzloff agreed to stay off of Eshenbrenner`s property. Nothing further requested.
Deputies Brazzi and Smith were in a doubled unit patrolling in the north end of the county. Deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle for reckless driving on County Road P. The passenger, Hector Morones Torres, ran from the vehicle with Deputy Smith giving chase. Deputies recognized Torres as he exited the vehicle and knew he had an active Glenn County Warrant. Torres was not located. The driver, Isabel Curiel, was arrested on a Butte County warrant and for reckless driving.
Deputy Smith made a traffic stop on a vehicle for vehicle code violations. Deputy Brazzi assisted Deputy Smith with the traffic stop. Deputy Brazzi contacted the passenger, Shannon Rickard. Rickard showed signs and symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Deputy Brazzi conducted an evaluation on Rickard and subsequently arrested her for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. The driver, Allen Barret, was released.
An anonymous person called the Glenn County Sheriffs office and reported several cows in the roadway on County Road 20 west of County Road H. Deputy Dicharry responded and stood by until the cows owner arrived. Daniel Garris arrived and put the cows back in their pasture.
A concerned citizen reported a subject in an orange sleeping bag in the area of County Roads DD and 11, sleeping on the ditch bank. Deputy Perry located the involved subject at County Roads 200 and FF. The subject was found to be transient and verbally identified as Zane Ladd Erion. Erion attempted to travel to the state of Washington. He was transported to the Glenn County line. No further action.
A reporting party, Darcy Sharp, requested welfare check on her father at 6227 County Road 17, Orland. Deputy Perry arrived at the location and found Edwin Sharp sitting in his pickup in the residence driveway. Edwin said he was doing fine. Glenn communications contacted the reporting party and advised her father is doing fine. No further action.
Vi Foley called to report that her neighbor was out of town and there was someone inside the residence at 575 Third St, Willows. Deputy Sullivan responded and contacted Clark James inside the residence. James stated he is the boyfriend of the tenant, Jacqueline King. Deputy Sullivan contacted the reporting parties and advised them of the incident. They stated they knew who James was and they did not see his pickup parked there.
Deputy Sullivan was flagged down by Steve Armentrout. Steve stated he could smell lighter fluid on the front porch of a house he rents to Karen Niles. He said he heard someone doused lighter fluid inside of the house also. Deputy Sullivan could smell lighter fluid around the front door. The front door was unlocked and nobody answered. Given the history at that residence deputies checked the interior to insure there were no injured parties, without incident.
Westside Ambulance was dispatched to 4561 County Road G for a female acting strange. Westside requested a deputy respond to secure the scene prior to them making contact with the female. Sgt. James arrived and advised that Westside could come in as the female was non violent. Scene turned over to Westside Ambulance.
Glenn County Sheriffs office received a telephone call from an Orland citizen regarding a prowler on their property. Deputy Owens responded and spoke with Gerald Keith Knight. Knight advised the subject fled southbound on Hwy 99, near County Road 7. Deputy Owens checked the area of County Road 7 and Hwy 99. The suspect was not located.
Deputy Smith had prior knowledge that Kayla Ordaz had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant from Glenn County. Deputy Smith contacted Ordaz at her residence and dispatch confirmed the warrant. Ordaz was placed under arrest and was transported to the Glenn County Jail where she was booked for the warrant.
