Willows church to host National Day of Prayer
Willows Christian Church will celebrate the National Day of Prayer at 7 p.m. Thursday at 200 S. Plumas St., with the theme “Prayer...America’s Hope.”
St. Monica’s to host salad luncheon
A salad luncheon will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at St. Monica’s Catholic Church, McGoldrick Hall, 1129 W. Wood St. Take-out available. For information, call 934-3595.
Nominations for local volunteers needed

Register for Willows horseshoe leagues
Registration for adult horseshoes at 6 p.m. May 13 at City Hall, 201 N. Lassen St., Willows. Offered leagues are co-ed doubles on Monday, women’s doubles on Tuesday, men’s doubles on Wednesday. Entry fee $20 per team. Maximum of 20 teams per league. After May 13, register by 4 p.m. May 26. For information, call 934-7043.
