Sheriff's logs listings are compiled from reports filed with area law enforcement and public safety agencies...

An anonymous person reported hearing what sounded like a single gun shot in the area of the Stony Gorge Lake.  The anonymous person also reported seeing a black El Camino leaving the lake area at the same time as the reported gun shot.  Deputies Brazzi and McDonald responded to the area.  The area was checked and nothing suspicious was located.

Reporting party just witnessed two men knock down part of a fence next door. He can identify one of the subjects. Deputy Bailey made contact with Tomas Guerra.   He said  he saw two older hispanic males messing with the fence at 530 Sierra. He said he thinks the men will be back to trespass later. Guerra thinks these are the men around town in different places drinking. Guerra does not want the men hanging out by his house. He would like special patrol in the alley.

Cold burglary to a vacant house. A window cooler and water heater were taken. Deputy Bailey responded and made contact with the real estate agent, Juan Acevedo. He said sometime over the weekend someone entered the house and took a hot water heater and a window mounted air conditioner.

Reporting party called and reports theft of horse tack. Deputy Bailey made contact with Donna Miceli.  She said sometime over the weekend someone entered her locked shed and took six saddles, five western and one english. Total loss is approximately $1300. Investigation continuing.

Reporting party said Hector just showed up and keeps dumping stuff on the property. He is not supposed to be there and he "got in her husband's face". Deputy Bailey made contact with Santiago and Linda Chavera who said they have a restraining order on Hector Chavera but he arrived today and dumped a couch on thier property. Dispatch advised the restraining oder ended. Chavera was told to get a new restraining order. Ongoing civil matter

William Chrisman, 54, reported theft of diesel fuel from his ranch on county road 66 and county road WW. Deputy Burns contacted Chrisman over the telephone as requested. Chrisman reported the theft of 100 gallons of clear diesel fuel and 350 gallons of red dye diesel. Chrisman stated the fuel was taken out of two fuel wagons and the suspect(s) put everything back (hoses) where they were found. Estimated loss of $1850.00.

Marie Emery, 59  called requesting to speak to a deputy regarding harassment. Deputy Burns responded to Emery`s residence. Emery reported several females have been harassing and threatening her 17 year-old granddaughter. Emery reported three females from Willows followed them to the races in Anderson and challenged the 17-year-old to fight. Emery stated the issue is over a boyfriend. Emery requested to document harassment by the juveniles. 

Someone is shooting a firearm in an orchard just north of the calling party's home. One of the bullets struck a tree in his back yard. Deputy Bailey made contact with John Garriga he said  he made contact with Lee Carpenter who lives just north of county road 12. Garriga said carpenter is shooting game out of season and letting it lay. Copy of report to be forwarded to fish and game for follow up. Deputy Bailey made contact with fish and game officer and explained the problem.

Alarm co. Reports a residential alarm sounding from the living room motion detector. Premises found secure. No responsible.

A 36-year-old female  requested to speak with a deputy regarding a verbal argument with her 12-year-old son that occured at her friend`s residence. Rp states her son is no longer at the residence. Deputy Owens detailed. Rp stated her son wanted to stay at the residence for the night and she would not allow him to do so. Rp said her son was angry because he could not stay and verbally assualted her. Rp sent her son home with a friend. Nothing further was requested.

13-year-old reports  her 15-year-old brother hit her. Both parties still at the residence. Both juveniles and their mother were contacted. The fight had been between siblings over who was going to get to use the phone. No injuries. Both juveniles were counseled and released to their mother.

Alarm co. reports an alarm sounding from the business office at the henning ranch. Premises found secure. Turned over to the responsible, John Henning.

Deputy Dicharry was dispatched to 7418 county road  24 to take a report of the theft of approximately 85 gallons of gasoline.  Deputy met with the business manager, Alfredo Jauregui.  Jauregui stated on the nights of 06-15-2008 and 06-16-2008 gasoline was taken.  Estimated loss $382.50.  Investigation continuing.

Kialynne Morehouse called the Glenn County sheriff`s office and reported that over the weekend an unknown subject cut her fence and picked all the fruit off of her four apricot trees. Deputy Dicharry contacted Morehouse and took the report. Morehouse estimated the loss at between $400-$500.

While conducting follow-up on an unrelated case, detectives Gibbs and Knight observed a juvenile runaway who had an outstanding warrant out of Butte County. A traffic stop was made and the juvenile runaway was contacted in the passenger seat. The juvenile was arrested after a brief struggle and tab at the Glenn County juvenile hall. While attempting to take the juvenile into custody, detective Gibbs injured his right thumb.

Bill Rumble called the Glenn County sheriff`s office and reported possible illegal dumping in the area of county road 7 and county road E.  Rumble described the vehicle as a tan colored Datsun or Toyota pickup pulling a trailer.  Rumble wasn't sure if the vehicle had dumped anything but requested a deputy check it out.  Deputy Dicharry responded and met with rumble.  The area was checked.  No dump pile or the pickup was located.

Theft of approximately 800 gallons of fuel were stolen  from property. Deputy Bailey responded and found that last week approximately 300 gal. Of clear diesel taken and 300 to 400 gallons of gas taken loss $1850. Diesel taken Wednesday Night and gas taken Thursday night.  Investigation continuing.
